The Rocket, issue #231, June 1996. Patrick worked for The Rocket, a seminal Seattle music paper, from 1991 to 1997; first as a writer and editor, then as designer, and finally as assistant art director from 1995–1997.

To create this cover, he used a contact sheet of images of the band, as a full-sized photo was unavailable. This was one of the times that a graphic camera came in handy. We can't imagine using one now (where would we put it?) but they delivered halftones like nothing else.
